Here in Northeastern Minnesota, with our strong Finnish heritage, it's no wonder that enjoying a sauna is a cherished part of our self-care routine. After a day filled with outdoor adventures, there's nothing quite like relaxing, warming up, and recharging in a sauna. We recommend keeping your session to 20-30 minutes, and if you have any underlying health issues, it's a good idea to consult your doctor first. To maximize the benefits of your sauna experience, try stepping out halfway through for an ice-cold shower or a roll in the snow during winter. It might sound shocking, but it's truly exhilarating!
At Bluefin Bay Family of Resorts, we offer saunas at each property:
Bluefin Bay: There are two saunas on the Bluefin Bay property. One is located at the indoor pool building and one is in the outdoor pool building near Tofte Cove. Both locations include changing rooms, towels, a fitness center, a pool, and a hot tub.
Surfside: The sauna at Surfside is located in the Waves of Superior Spa and Recreation Center. You’ll also find an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, changing rooms and guest towels.
Temperance Landing: Guests staying at the Temperance Landing log homes can enjoy a classic Finnish sauna. This log sauna can accommodate 8-10 people and is complete with a window overlooking Lake Superior. The building also includes a changing area and shower.
