We are thrilled to partner with the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center to bring our guests an exciting sequence of programs inspired by the wilder side of the North Shore. On Fridays from 3 – 6 p.m. near Guest Services, visit with and learn about Hunter, a live Great Horned Owl. On Wednesdays from 5 – 7 p.m. near the beach meet the hidden wildlife that can be found in the streams that feed Lake Superior.
Groups of 12-20 can arrange in advance for naturalist-led experiences such as their high ropes course, naturalist-guided Boundary Waters day trips on the Kelso loop, and half-day kayak tours at Split Rock. Make arrangements directly with Wolf Ridge at least a week in advance at 218-353-7414 or mail@wolf-ridge. Learn more at wolf-ridge.org.
Located in nearby Finland, MN, Wolf Ridge is a nationally recognized leader in environmental education and the nation’s first accredited environmental learning center. Each year, about 13,000 K-12 students, campers, and families take part in Wolf Ridge’s life-changing Northwoods experiences.
