Eleven months ago, the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Natural Resources Research Institute began asking the public to report moose sightings. Since then, they have been surprised to have had over 500 sightings reported, many of which were backed up with photographs. These numbers obviously do not include the numerous other unreported sightings. Being situated in the Superior National Forest and just 30 short miles from the Boundary Waters, Bluefin Bay guests have an excellent chance to go out in search of moose. Seeing these magnificent creatures in their natural setting truly is a spectacular sight and often a once in a lifetime opportunity. Will you spot the next moose?
