New Activities for Summer 2017

June 5, 2017

It’s true: Summer is simply better when spent on the shores of Lake Superior. And at the Bluefin Bay Family of Resorts, there’s enough North ShoreCanoe adventure,
activity and fun to pack a lifetime of summer days.

What’s New?

We have more summer fun and activities than ever before, thanks to returning favorites and exciting new programs, including the new Wilderness Canoeing
adventure. This 2.5 hour, expert guided excursion starts with a short ¼ mile hike to the Poplar River falls, where guests will board canoes to paddle a slow,
shallow upriver tour of the Sawtooth Mountains.

Also new to our activity roster is a fun, friendly-to-all-ages Exploring Agates activity. After a brief introduction from our guide on what agates look like, where
they come from and how to find one, guests will have the chance to hit the beach and search for their very own gemstone souvenir.

Additional new programming including a more difficult, longer guided hike are in the works so be sure to visit Bluefinbay.com for dates, times and more
information about any of our many summer activities.

Other summer complimentary activities include:

  • Daily guided kayaking on Lake Superior (ages 12 & up)
  • Guided hikes
  • Complimentary shuttle service to local trailheads
  • Guided road and mountain bike tours
  • Weekend ropes courses at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center
  • Kids’ activities (programming changes weekly; includes arts, crafts, games and naturalist programs)
  • Complimentary tennis racquet and mountain bike rentals
  • Nightly campfires and s’mores
  • Yoga
