Lutsen 99er

June 19, 2017

There’s plenty to enjoy on the North Shore. Not only is there hiking and kayaking, but many events throughout the year to keep you entertained. Coming June 23d to the 25th is the annual Lutsen 99er, a 99 mile bike race that shows off the beauty of the North Shore. Bike enthusiasts will not want to miss this event!

The race features many shorter distances as well: the 69er, 39er, 19er and mini races for young children. Though registration for the races is now closed, even spectators will have a good time as the schedule for the weekend-long event is jam-packed. A barbeque, live music at Papa Charlie’s, North Shore Winery sampling, and much more make for a fun weekend for the whole family.

On November 14th, there is a kickoff party from 5-8 pm in the Fulton Tap Room in Minneapolis for the 2018 Lutsen 99er. Here you can enjoy live music and a food truck fare. If you preregister for the race, you’ll receive a token for a free Fulton beer to use at the kickoff party.

Make sure to check out the lively, weekend-long event this June, and don’t forget to bring your bike!
