Come join a naturalist from Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center at the bonfire area to learn how to build a campfire and safely light it. See examples of kinds and sizes of wood needed to get a fire started. While enjoying s’mores at the campfire, try your hand at starting a small piece of birch bark on fire in a firepan. You and your family (children must be 10 years and older) can attempt to light birch bark via Bow and Drill, Flint and Steel, or Match Strike.
