Hike at George Crosby Manitou State Park

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

This hike takes place in the heart of the beautiful George H Crosby Manitou State Park. A hidden gem on the North Shore, this state park is one that not that many people know about. Our hike will be about 2 miles in total. Most of the hike is on the Superior Hiking Trail where we’ll make a stop at a trail shelter to talk about the natural history of this wilderness paradise.

Depending on allotted time and trail conditions we will be seeing one of two features including a waterfall named “the cascades” or a small inland lake named “Benson Lake”. Both trails take you on a scenic walk through spruce and cedar groves. Wildlife spotting alert – This is a rugged, wilderness park where bear, wolves, moose, deer, and grouse share the trails with hikers! The total trip distance is 2 miles and considered easy to moderate in difficulty.

Meet at the Guest Services building at Bluefin Bay
