Cairn Competition

Bluefin Bay Beach

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

The first annual Cairn competition will be held at Bluefin Bay down at the beach by the campfire. Cairn’s are defined as man-made pile of stones used to mark trails and summits on mountains. Today you can see them scattered across the shore at various scenic points.

 

The objective for this competition will be to create the tallest Cairn. A $50.00 gift certificate will be awarded to the winners.

Rules:

  • The Cairn must be made entirely of rocks found along the beach at Bluefin Bay.
  • Cairns must be free standing. No non-rock supports will be allowed.
  • Participants have one hour to construct the tallest Cairn.
  • Every member participating must lay at least one rock on the Cairn.
  • Once the referee calls the time no more rocks will be allowed.
  • One team per room.

We ask that each family or team remain 6 feet apart to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
