As we make it to the end of September the leaves are now starting to reach their peak colors. The Maples are turning brilliant oranges and reds, while the Birches and Aspen are beginning to show lovely shades of gold. For up to date color information check out the North Shore visitors website. Also during your stay be sure to stop by the Activities Department for suggested fall color hiking and driving routes.
Our Waves, Our Days
Welcome to the blog of the Bluefin Bay Family of Resorts

Guests were treated to a beautiful sunny day for hiking today. The guided hike went to the Caribou Falls, and though the water levels are a little lower, the river and falls are still very impressive. We were treated to the beginnings of fall colors and many migrating birds. The forecast for the next few days looks a little damp but looks to be great weather for the upcoming weekend.
The report from the Pagami Creek fire is that the fire has only increased 400 acres over the last 24 hours. We are currently having rain showers that started early this morning and have continued all day. Here in Tofte we are not smelling any smoke as winds continue out of the South. Winds are predicted to be changing daily, but rain is also predicted for much of the coming week. For up to date fire information please refer to the Incident Information website.
In other news we are starting to see more color in the tree tops, it is looking to be a great year for fall colors. For up to date color updates please check out the MN DNR color website.
