July, 2012 @ Bluefin

Welcome to the blog of the Bluefin Bay Family of Resorts

Bluefin Kid's CraftKid's activities provide great fun for the youngest generation staying at Bluefin! We offer a wide variety of activities including assembling and painting birdhouses, skipping stones, personalized friendship bracelets, scratch off art, collecting and painting beach rocks, and if enough children show up, game time!  Every kid's activity is chaperoned and lead by Bluefin's own activity's staff. Parents are welcome, but not required, to tag along. Meet us at the Guest Services building for a fun and exciting youth event! Check our calendar of events to see what is going on during your stay!

BBQ

Is it too nice to sit inside, away from the big lake for dinner tonight? Join us tonight and every Friday evening this summer from 5 - 8 pm on the beach for a summer BBQ put on by the Bluefin Grille. The BBQ menu includes: burgers, hot dogs, chicken legs, veggie burgers, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, corn, chips and lemonade.

The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children.

Treks

The Gitchi-Gami State Trail, a paved recreational trail that will become an 88-mile non-motorized trail, between Two Harbors and Grand Marais when complete, offers a bike trail right out of our properties. This offers the Bluefin Bay Family of Resort guests the opportunity to bike three miles south and six miles north of the resort on the paved trail from Schroeder to Lutsen. We provide Trek Navigator bikes, helmets, tag-along bikes, Burley bike trailers, and even bottled water that is available for guests to use on the trail as well as the option for mountain bikes, all of which are included for you with your stay.
