Calendar ContestThe Bluefin Bay Calendar Contest 2014 deadline, June 15th, is around the corner. We look forward to receiving beautiful photos of the North Shore, waterfalls and lakes, our amazing Lake Superior, wildlife, forests, sunrise, northern lights…to name a few. It seems that spring is finally here, so grab your camera, get outside to enjoy the warmth and snap some images of nature. Or, perhaps you just need to review your photo library from the previous seasons – there might be some amazing shots that could be our calendar contest winners! Send them in!

Check out our Bluefin Bay Calendar Contest rules. And, if you have any questions, e-mail us at info@bluefinbay.com.

Waterfalls Bluefin BayIt's the perfect time of year to check out waterfalls in the Lutsen Tofte area! The Spring snow melt and rainfall has left the rivers raging!

Caribou Falls, pictured on the right, is one of many guided hikes near rivers that we offer complimentary with your stay at Bluefin Bay Family of Resorts. As you can see the river has broken through the ice that covered it for the past few months.

Trail conditions are pretty good, although ice trekkers (available at the front desk) are recommended until the remaining ice fades away.

We've also prepared our bicycles and they are ready to be checked out. The Gitchi-Gami trail is 95% clear right now and should be completely open within the next week.
