As Minnesota's Favorite Resort, Bluefin Bay is known for bringing people closer to the lake and closer to each other. We believe and celebration vacations! Our job is to help you create great memories.

The essence of the "Tell Us Your Bluefin Bay Story" contest conducted in 2011 was to do just that. We invited guests to describe their favorite Bluefin Bay memory or experience in a photo essay or video (or a combination of both). We received a wide variety of entries and were impressed with participants' originality and creativity. Most entrants described Bluefin Bay as an inspiring and bonding place. Some of the images used to tell the stories were superb. Thank you to all who entered our contest.

Here are the contest winners:

• Winner of the Grand Prize: Michelle Anderson (Plymouth, MN). While reviewing photos taken during Bluefin Bay vacation, Michelle was inspired to write her own song “On a Night Like This”, which is used in the video. In her music blog she wrote:"The song came easily because there's magic there. It's not just the loneliness of the endless blue, but it's the smell of the air, the crashing of the waves. The certainty that God has blessed this place, and He is smiling upon it." Michelle received a two night stay at Bluefin Bay and a $100 gift card. Watch Video.             

• 2nd Place Winner: Daryl Byklum (Rochester, MN). Daryl received a $250 Bluefin Bay gift card. Watch Video.

• 3rd Place Winner: Lauren Schultz (Greenfield, MN). Lauren received a $100 Bluefin Bay gift card. Watch Video.

• Honorable Mention Winners: Emily & Jack Wheeler, age 10 (St Paul, MN). Emily and Jack did not submit a photo essay; however, since photo was included and written essays are great, the judges awarded them with Honorable Mention prize. Each if them received $25 Bluefin Bay gift cards. See entries.
