Jeremy Swider and Krista Broadway Swider form a dynamic duo, bringing to their music a special unity as well as an aura of intimacy.

These characteristics stem from both their professional occupations as violinists, violists, and instructors of those instruments in the Twin Cities, and their unique personal relationship. As a married couple, the Swiders are able to practice, rehearse and perform together, all in the comfort of their own home!

Jeremy Swider graduated from the University of Houston with a double-major in violin performance and music composition. He continued his studies at the University of Minnesota and graduated with his masters in violin performance in 2002. Mr. Swider teaches violin and viola at MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis, and also serves as MacPhail’s chamber music coordinator. Mr. Swider and Mrs. Broadway Swider perform together in a string quartet based in the Twin Cities. The String Quartet con Passione performs for a variety of occasions, and greatly enjoys sharing a passion for chamber music with audiences around Minnesota.

Krista Broadway Swider graduated from the University of Houston with a major in violin performance. She now enjoys cultivating her enjoyment of viola performance, while teaching and performing in chamber groups such as the Broadway-Swider Duo and the String Quartet con Passione. Mrs. Swider teaches violin, viola and chamber music at her home studio in St. Paul.
