Most of the winter Lake Superior remains unfrozen. Thanks to many days of sub zero temperatures and now calm winds, ice has come to the big lake.
Be careful though, it is very fickle. Here today and gone tomorrow.
Ice as far as you can see, with some building up on shore.
Just one day of a little wind and the ice is gone.
A pleasure to the senses as the ice grumbles and groans as it moves.
